ABOUT NONA
Fiona is the textile artist behind Nona. An accomplished embroiderer and seamstress, with an instinctive feel for garment construction, drape and couture. Fiona can competently carry a bespoke design through to garment manufacture.
Armed with excellent hand drawing skills and a confident eye for colour, pattern, form and texture. Fiona predominantly uses traditional hand stitch, freehand machine embroidery, hand painting and fabric manipulation techniques.
A keen advocate for all things sustainable and ethical. Longing for the utopia without waste, pollution and cruelty she strives to maintain this ethos in her work. Often breathing new life into reclaimed fabrics, clothing and furniture.
